Solon Springs High School has been named to U.S. News and World Report’s 2008 list of America’s Best High Schools. The school was named a bronze school by the magazine. The district offers both Advanced Placement and independent advanced classes. Math classes in trigonometry and calculus are offered to individual students when not enough students are interested for a full class. Solon Springs is the only Douglas County school to be recognized by the magazine.

Joan Salmen Memorial Library
The Solon Springs branch of the Superior Public Library opened in the year 2000, and has since expanded to include video/DVD's, a children’s room, computers, and wireless internet.
In 2007 the Village dedicated the library with a plaque honoring the founder in which the library is named. The Joan Salem Memorial Library is located on the ground floor of the village hall building. Line
